German WW2 Volkssturm Division

The final, desperate stage of the Total War plan, the Volkssturm were a motley militia hastily conscripted from the remaining civilian population in the vain hope that the Red Army's seemingly unstoppable advance could be blunted. These ragged defenders are dressed in a mix of civilian clothing, Youth wing uniforms and other historically accurate garb, reflecting their doomed situation.

These are scaled for 28mm/1:56 scale, and are perfect for wargames such as Bolt Action, Flames of War, Chain of Command, Konflikt '47, Five Men at Kursk, or for historical dioramas.

Set contents:

• Platoon HQ — two models, an officer and his adjutant
• Panzershrek Team — two models carrying a single panzershrek anti-tank weapon
• Rifle Group — eight models, mostly armed with rifles and supported by a machine gun team
• Marching Group — eight models, armed with a motley mix of weapons including a late-war maschinenpistol, and dragging a cart of panzerfausts and grenades
• Youth 8.8 Flak — an anti-air or anti-tank artillery piece, manned by members of the youth wing
• Full Platoon — every set above
